We compared this multimedia projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think because of it's better review score, the U32+, and the Home Cinema 1040 ($662.49) both from Epson or the Benq HT2050 ($636.99) is also worth considering.

The Vivitek DX831 has one of the brighter projector brightness (4,500 ANSI lumens) amongst 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors of this age.
