4 Reasons For

Viewsonic Has Excellent Projector Reviews

We calculated the average ratings for all Viewsonic multimedia projectors and specifically for Viewsonic 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors and found that in both cases Viewsonic had excellent ratings compared to other manufacturers.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The Viewsonic PJD5453 has a built-in speaker. Most of the other projectors that are a similar age to the PJD5453 also have a built-in speaker.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think the Viewsonic PJD5132 ($349.99) which is cheaper; or the Infocus IN112A which has a better Rating are also worth considering.

We think you might also be interested in alternative projectors which also have a built-in speaker including the Viewsonic PJD5483S.

Two Built-In Speakers

Most of the other projectors of this age and type only have one built-in speaker, however the PJD5453 has two built-in speakers.

Three VGA (D-Sub) Ports

The Viewsonic PJD5453 is a three VGA (D-Sub) port data projector.

4 Reasons Against

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

The Viewsonic PJD5453 does not support 3D image projection, unlike most of the other data projectors of a similar type and age to the PJD5453.

It is worth considering other projectors which also support 3D image projection including the Optoma S300, or the Infocus IN112A; or the Viewsonic PJD5132 ($349.99).

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

Most projectors of this spec and age do not support Full HD projection. The Viewsonic PJD5453 is no exception to this as it too does not support Full HD projection.

It is worth considering alternative data projectors which also support Full HD projection including the Viewsonic PJD5483S, or the Vivitek D552.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

Comparable spec projectors that came out around the same time as the PJD5453 have projector brightness of between 700 ANSI lumens and 11,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,900 ANSI lumens. At only 2,400 ANSI lumens, the PJD5453 has a quite dim projector brightness compared to most of the other similar spec projectors that are a comparable age to the PJD5453.

If this projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might want to look at the Optoma S300 (2,800 ANSI lumens and higher rated) or the Viewsonic PJD5132 ($349.99) (2,800 ANSI lumens and cheaper).

2 Other reasons to consider the Viewsonic PJD5453

Released Over Three Years Ago

Viewsonic released the PJD5453 over three years ago.

XGA (1024x768) Native Projector Resolution

This data projector has a native projector resolution of XGA (1024x768), which is typical of many data projectors that have been available for more than two years.

We compared all the other data projectors that have a resolution of XGA (1024x768) to this projector and we think the Viewsonic PJD5232, and the Infocus IN124 ($389.99) which has a better Rating is also worth considering.

If the resolution of this 15000:1 contrast ratio data projector is not high enough for you then you might also want to consider the Infocus IN116A (WXGA (1280x800)) which also has a higher rating.
