Supports 3D Image Projection

The Ricoh PJ HD5450 supports 3D image projection, which is unusual. Most of the other 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been on the market for a comparable time to the PJ HD5450 do not support 3D image projection.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors which support 3D image projection and we think the PJ WX5460[pl_3011570_price], and the PJ WX2240 VP[pl_3258303_price] both from Ricoh or the Optoma X310[plb_2879469_price] which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Supports Full HD Projection

Unlike most of the other similar spec data projectors that have been around for around the same time as the PJ HD5450 which do not support Full HD projection, the PJ HD5450 supports Full HD projection.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative projectors which support Full HD projection currently available including the Optoma ZU650[plb_3425664_price], the Hitachi CP-EX301N[plb_3158540_price], or the Ricoh PJ WX6170N[plb_3011904_price] which has better reviews.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The PJ HD5450 has a built-in speaker. Most of the other projectors that came out around the same time as the PJ HD5450 also have a built-in speaker.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the Panasonic PT-EX610[plb_2592975_price], the Optoma X310[plb_2879469_price], or the Ricoh PJ WX5460[plb_3011570_price] which has better reviews.

1080p (1920x1080) Native Projector Resolution

The highest resolution of the PJ HD5450 is 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of the most common native projector resolution of XGA (1024x768). The worst resolution of all similar spec projectors that have been on the market for more than a year is nHD (640x360) and the best is DCI 4K (4096 x 2160).

The highest resolution supported by the Ricoh PJ HD5450 is 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over six times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this projector). This multimedia projector also support graphics resolutions of 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA) and 1360 x 768 (WXGA) and 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA+).
