Philips only released the HDP1650 five months ago. Newer projectors are likely to have more advanced features.

It is worth considering different projectors which support 3D image projection including the CTPN-41B, or the PGWX-61B both from Barco or the Philips HDP1690 ($999.99) which have a better Kagoo Rating™.

2 Other reasons to consider the Philips HDP1650

Philips Has OK Projector Reviews

Multimedia projectors built by Philips generally have ok reviews compared to other manufacturers.

WXGA (1280x800) Native Projector Resolution

This data projector has a native projector resolution of WXGA (1280x800), which is typical of many projectors that are a similar age to it.

We compared this projector to all the other multimedia projectors that have a resolution of WXGA (1280x800) and we think a higher rated data projector such as the PGWX-61B, and the PHWX-81B both from Barco or the Acer P1387W ($734.71) are also worth considering.

If the resolution of this data projector is too low for you then you might want to consider the HD36 (1080p (1920x1080 and higher rated) and higher rated), or the DH1008 (1080p (1920x1080 and higher rated) and higher rated) both from Optoma or the DELL 1220 Projector ($244.99) (SVGA (800x600 and higher rated),1080p (1920x1080 and higher rated) and higher rated).
