Good Product Quality

Several Philips HDP1550 owners who reviewed the product thought it was good quality. Pompompom mentioned “The picture quality is ok if you sit far enough, mind you”. In November last year Roop said on Amazon “As they say about 40 inches away from the wall the picture quality is good” although they scored the product 3 stars.


One Philips HDP1550 reviewer wrote in their reviews that the product was well made. Pompompom said “Fantastic engineering ideas and poor execution (unless I've been really unlucky” .

Good Sound Quality

One person who reviewed it thought it had good sound quality. Pompompom said in their review of the Philips HDP1550 on Amazon in November last year “A small, portable box which can replace your big black TV, avoids wires all across the room and has sound? Count me in! I bought it” however despite that they gave it a score of 2 stars.

The Philips HDP1550 supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over six times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this data projector). In addition, this Philips multimedia projector support graphics resolutions of 800 x 600 (SVGA) and 1024 x 768 (XGA) and 1280 x 768 (WXGA). The best resolution of all projectors of this age and spec is 4096 x 2160 and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).
