This data projector is one of the latest multimedia projectors to be released. This means it is likely to use better technology than some of the older multimedia projectors.

Quite Quiet Noise Level

With a noise level of only 35 decibels, the Panasonic PT-EX520 has one of the quieter noise levels amongst data projectors of this age. The noise levels of 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that came out in the last year range from 28dB to 40dB.

Alternative data projectors with a louder noise level that you might want to look at include the PT-EW550 (35dB), or the PT-EX520EJ (35dB) both from Panasonic.

Very Quiet Noise Level in Economy Mode

Across all the 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that were released in the last year the noise levels in economy mode range from 29dB to 36dB. At only 29 decibels, the Panasonic PT-EX520 has a quite quiet noise level in economy mode compared to most of the other 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that are a comparable age to the PT-EX520.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

Like most of the other similar spec projectors that were released around the same time as the PT-EX520, the Panasonic PT-EX520 does not support Full HD projection.

Other multimedia projectors which also support Full HD projection that you might also want to consider include the Hitachi CP-CX251N, or the Panasonic PT-EW550.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The PT-EX520 does not support WiFi connectivity, although this is within the context that most of the other recently released 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors also do not support WiFi connectivity.

Other multimedia projectors which also support WiFi connectivity that you might want to consider include the EB-G7000W, or the EB-G7800 both from Epson or the Canon WUX450ST ($5,121.22).

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

The PT-EX520 does not support 3D image projection, although keep in mind that most of the other comparable spec multimedia projectors that came out in the last year also do not support 3D image projection.

We compared all the other projectors which also support 3D image projection to this projector and we think the Panasonic PT-EW550 is also worth considering.
