15000:1 contrast ratio projectors built by Optoma have good ratings on average. We also checked the reviews for all projectors (not just 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors) and found that Optoma also has good ratings across its entire range.

Good Size

Two Optoma W401 reviewers who purchased the Optoma W401 reckoned that it was a good weight. Pcmag.com gave it a score of 4 stars and said on expert review site PC Mag three years ago “The Optoma W401$922.00 at Amazon shares many of the same features, including a light weight and a bright image”. Itreviews.com said on expert website IT Reviews.com in the same month “The Optoma W401 shares many of the same features, including a light weight and a bright image” in their review of this projector.

We compared this data projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think because of it's better review score, the EH300, the W306, and the ML1500 all from Optoma is also worth considering.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

Like most of the other projectors of a comparable spec and age to the W401, the Optoma W401 does not support Full HD projection.

We compared this projector to all the other multimedia projectors with a Full HD projection and we think the EH300, the ML1500, or the X401 ($1,049.00) all from Optoma which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Most 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for more than two years do not support WiFi connectivity. The Optoma W401 is no exception to this as it too does not support WiFi connectivity.

Alternative multimedia projectors which also support WiFi connectivity that you might want to look at include the Optoma EX400.
