Supports Full HD Projection

The Optoma S341 supports Full HD projection. Most of the other new projectors do not support Full HD projection.

1920 X 1200 (WUXGA) Graphics Resolution

The Optoma S341 supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's over seven times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this data projector). In addition, this Optoma multimedia projector support graphics resolutions of 800 x 600 (SVGA), 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA), 1360 x 768 (WXGA) and 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+) and 1600 x 1200 (UXGA).

This projector's resolution (1920 x 1200 (WUXGA)) is in fact the best supported resolution amongst all projectors that were released in the last year.

A 640 x 480 (VGA) graphics resolution is the worst supported resolution amongst similar types of projector.

Projectors that were released in the last year have noise levels of between 22dB and 40dB, and the average noise level is 33dB. At only 29 decibels, the Optoma S341 has a quite quiet noise level compared to most of the other new projectors.

We compared all the other 29dB noise level projectors to this projector and we think because of it's better review score, the Optoma H183X ($455.73) is also worth considering.
