Easy to Use

Some Optoma S311 owners considered that the product was easy to setup. Albi said on Amazon in October last year “Easy to set up and quality picture when used with a first class source [ blue ray player]”. Benjamin said “Smaller than I was expecting, this is easy to setup and connects to my devices really quickly”. Theophilus said “Worked first time easy to set up”.

A number of Optoma S311 reviewers said that this projector was easy to use. J M Henderson wrote “Simple to use and gives an excellent quality picture” in their review of the Optoma S311 and gave this projector an excellent rating. Good Picture Quality

Three Optoma S311 owners who reviewed this projector agreed that it had good picture quality. A number of people said that it had good colour saturation. B-K scored the product 5 stars and said “Good contrast allowing to look videos with superb colors” in their review.

Good Sound Quality

Four Optoma S311 owners concluded that it had good sound quality. In October last year Albi said on Amazon “Audio is OK for a smallish room” in their Optoma S311 review. Benjamin wrote on Amazon “Noise so try not to sit to close to it, also there is no audio out option” in his review of the Optoma S311 and gave this projector a score of 80 out of 100. This year Cambsman said in their Optoma S311 review “The next model up has audio out facility i believe, so can easily connect a set of speakers just a thought”.

Supports 3D Image Projection

The Optoma S311 supports 3D image projection. Most of the other projectors that have been on the market for a comparable time to the S311 also support 3D image projection.

There are a number of alternative data projectors which support 3D image projection currently available that you might also want to look at including the Benq W750[plb_1561747_price] which has better reviews.

It is worth considering other multimedia projectors which also support 3D image projection including the Optoma S313[plb_2502195_price].

The Optoma S311 supports a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over six times the resolution of the most frequently found graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this projector). In addition, this Optoma multimedia projector support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA) and 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). Across all multimedia projectors of this spec and age the best resolution is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).
