The Optoma HD161 supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over six times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this multimedia projector). This projector also support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 720 (HD 720), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA), 1360 x 768 (WXGA) and 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). Across all projectors that were launched more than two years ago the best resolution is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).

With a projector brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens, the Optoma HD161 has a relatively standard projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors of this age and type.

We compared this projector to all the other 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors and we think the Benq W7000+[plb_1403580_price], the Acer H7531D[plb_1418806_price], and the Panasonic PTAE7000U[plb_1897671_price] which has better reviews is also worth considering.
