Good High Def TV

Seven customers concluded that the product was good at displaying high definition TV. Jtt mentioned “Excellent HD short throw projector” in their review of the Optoma GT760. Jtt also said “Great short throw HD projector”. Xycenh rated it 4 stars and said in November “The problem I had was I wanted a big 1080p HD bright colour projector”.

Good Picture Quality

Several people who bought it agreed that it had good picture quality. Depender B. wrote on Amazon this month “The picture quality remains great”. H. Wyeth wrote in their Optoma GT760 review “It's hard to choose between them- some say the benq has better image quality” . H. Wyeth also said “Is the picture quality good? -Yes! When I first powered it on”.

Has a Built-In Speaker

Unlike most of the other projectors that have been available for more than two years which do not have a built-in speaker, the Optoma GT760 has a built-in speaker.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the alternative data projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the Benq W770ST, or the Optoma H100 which has better reviews.

We compared all the other projectors which also have a built-in speaker to this projector and we think the Optoma H111 is also worth considering.

Supports 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other similar spec projectors that are a comparable age to the GT760, the Optoma GT760 supports 3D image projection.

Other projectors which support 3D image projection currently available that you might want to consider include because of it's better review score, the Benq W770ST, or the Optoma H100.

It is worth also looking at other projectors which also support 3D image projection including the Optoma H111.

The highest resolution supported by the Optoma GT760 is 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over six times the resolution of the most frequently found graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this multimedia projector). This projector also support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA) and 1366 х 768 and 800 x 600 (SVGA). Across all multimedia projectors of this age and type the best resolution is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).

Quite Bright Projector Brightness

The average projector brightness of similar spec projectors that were released around the same time as the GT760 is 2,900 ANSI lumens. With a projector brightness of 3,400 ANSI lumens, the Optoma GT760 has one of the brighter projector brightness amongst multimedia projectors of this age.

If you want a brighter projector brightness then you might want to consider the Epson EB-1930 ($999.00) (4,200 ANSI lumens and higher rated).

Poor Support

One customer who bought this projector concluded that it did not have good technical guidance. The Honest Reviewer scored the Optoma GT760 60 out of 100 and said in their review of this projector on Amazon “Another small niggle, is the difficulty of using the manual focus setting”.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The Optoma GT760 does not support Full HD projection. Most of the other comparable spec data projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the GT760 also do not support Full HD projection.

There are a number of alternative projectors which also support Full HD projection that you might also want to consider including the Epson EH-TW6100, or the Optoma EH200ST ($926.99) or the Optoma DH1008.
