Good Picture Quality

A few Optoma DX346 reviewers who bought the product considered that it had good picture quality. Several Optoma DX346 reviewers agreed that this projector had good colour saturation. In October last year B-K said “Good contrast allowing to look videos with superb colors”.

Good Sound Quality

A few people wrote in their reviews that this projector had good sound quality. Albi gave the Optoma DX346 a score of 5 stars and wrote in October last year “Audio is OK for a smallish room” in their review of this projector. In the same month Benjamin wrote on Amazon “Noise so try not to sit to close to it, also there is no audio out option”. Cambsman said “The next model up has audio out facility i believe, so can easily connect a set of speakers just a thought” in their review.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The Optoma DX346 has a built-in speaker, as do most of the other projectors of a comparable type and age to the DX346.

There are a number of alternative multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker currently available that you might also want to consider including the Benq TW519 which has better reviews; or the Benq MX850 which is cheaper.

It is worth considering alternative projectors which also have a built-in speaker including the Benq MS512.

Average Projector Brightness

At 3,000 ANSI lumens, the Optoma DX346 has a relatively standard projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors of this age and spec.

We compared all the other 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors to this projector and we think a cheaper projector such as the MW820ST, and the MX819ST ($589.99) both from Benq or you might consider a higher rated projector such as the Benq TW523 are also worth considering.

If you want a multimedia projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might want to consider the Benq MW526 ($402.74) (3,200 ANSI lumens) which is also cheaper.
