Good Product Quality

A number of Optoma DS325 reviewers wrote in their reviews that it was good quality. Amazon Customer scored the product 5 stars and wrote in their review of this projector on Amazon “Great picture quality even with lights on!”. Two years ago Bill a mentioned “Connected to a freeview TV receiver incorporated within a DVD player, we can watch excellent quality big screen films” in his review of the Optoma DS325.

Acceptable Noise Level

One Optoma DS325 owner who purchased it concluded that it was noisy. Mr. P. Boocock mentioned in their review of the Optoma DS325 “Great, not too noisy to disturb” and scored it very highly.

Inferior Remote Control

One person who bought it considered that it did not have a good remote control. Two years ago Cony Eyre wrote in their review “There is a little problem with remote” but they still gave the product a score of 80 out of 100.

Not Good in Terms of Size

One Optoma DS325 reviewer mentioned in their reviews that the product was not thick. Bill a wrote “Not a problem if you have very thick curtains or it is dark outside”.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

Most of the other projectors that were launched around the same time as the DS325 have a built-in speaker, however the Optoma DS325 does not have a built-in speaker.

It is worth considering other multimedia projectors which also have a built-in speaker including the Benq MS502[plb_1385309_price] which is also cheaper.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

Most projectors of this type and age do not support Full HD projection. The Optoma DS325 is no exception to this as it too does not support Full HD projection.

We compared this data projector to all the other multimedia projectors with a Full HD projection and we think the MW526[pl_2415513_price], or the MW820ST[pl_1552199_price] both from Benq is also worth considering.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Most multimedia projectors of this spec and age do not support WiFi connectivity. The Optoma DS325 is no exception to this as it too does not support WiFi connectivity.

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

At only 2,600 ANSI lumens, the Optoma DS325 has a quite dim projector brightness compared to most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a comparable age to the DS325. The dimmest projector brightness of data projectors of a comparable age and spec to the DS325 is 800 ANSI lumens and the brightest is 4,200 ANSI lumens.

Projectors with a brighter projector brightness that might also be worth considering include the Benq TW523[plb_2029704_price] (3,000 ANSI lumens) which is also higher rated.
