Good 3D Picture Quality

One NEC NP-PE401H reviewer thought the NEC NP-PE401H had a good 3D picture quality. Two years ago Pc Mag wrote on PC Mag “Full 3D support with video sources” and gave this projector a rating of 70 out of 100.

Supports Full HD Projection

The NP-PE401H supports Full HD projection, which is unusual. Most of the other projectors of this type and age do not support Full HD projection.

We compared all the other data projectors which support Full HD projection to this data projector and we think because of it's better review score, the AAXA Technologies LED Android Pico Projector ($499.00), the NEC NP-PA600X, and the Ricoh PJ X6180N ($497.00) is also worth considering.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The NP-PE401H has a built-in speaker. Most of the other 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been on the market for more than two years also have a built-in speaker.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think because of it's better review score, the Benq SP870 ($1,599.00), the Canon LV-7390, and the Epson EB-465i is also worth considering.

1080p (1920x1080) Native Projector Resolution

The NP-PE401H has a maximum resolution of 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of the most frequently found native projector resolution of XGA (1024x768). Across all data projectors of a comparable age and type to the NP-PE401H the resolution ranges from XGA (1024x768) (worst) to WUXGA (1920x1200) (best).

The highest resolution supported by the NP-PE401H is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's over seven times the resolution of a 640 x 480 (VGA) projector, which is the most common resolution supported by data projectors of a comparable type and age to the NP-PE401H. 640 x 480 (VGA) is also supported by this multimedia projector. This data projector also support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA), 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+) and 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA).

A 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) graphics resolution is actually the best supported resolution amongst all projectors of this spec and age.

A 640 x 480 (VGA) graphics resolution is the worst supported resolution amongst comparable types of projector.

Not Robust

One NEC NP-PE401H reviewer who purchased the product concluded that it was not well made. Pc Mag said in their review of this projector on PC Mag “No built, in digital file support” however despite that they gave the NEC NP-PE401H a score of 4 stars.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

Most 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been available for around the same time as the NP-PE401H do not support 3D image projection. The NEC NP-PE401H is no exception to this as it too does not support 3D image projection.

We compared all the other multimedia projectors which also support 3D image projection to this projector and we think the U300X, the U260W, or the U310W all from NEC which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Like most of the other multimedia projectors that were launched more than two years ago, the NEC NP-PE401H does not support WiFi connectivity.

Other projectors which also support WiFi connectivity that you might want to consider include the Epson PowerLite 1761W ($649.99), the AAXA Technologies M2 Micro, or the Casio XJ-A256 which also has a higher rating.
