1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the NP-P401W is 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over six times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this projector). In addition, this NEC projector support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) and 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). The worst resolution of all data projectors of a comparable type and age to the NP-P401W is 640 x 480 (VGA) and the best is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA).

The NP-P401W has a greater number of supported image formats than most data projectors of a similar age and spec to it. This multimedia projector supports a GIF image format, which is the most commonly supported image format supported by 4000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that are a comparable age to the NP-P401W. The image formats "BMP", "JPG" and "PNG" are also supported by this data projector.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

The NEC NP-P401W does not support 3D image projection. Most of the other comparable spec data projectors that have been available for more than two years also do not support 3D image projection.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other projectors with a 3D image projection and we think the NEC L51W[plb_1496151_price] which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The NP-P401W does not support Full HD projection, although keep in mind that most of the other projectors that were released around the same time as the NP-P401W also do not support Full HD projection.
