Good 3D Picture Quality

Four customers who purchased this projector concluded that it had a good 3D picture quality. Tony Cutlan gave the product an excellent review score and he mentioned on Amazon “No evidence of the dreaded "rainbow" artifacts, in fact the picture in 2D or 3D seemed flawless even from just ten feet away from the screen”. Tony Cutlan also wrote “And the 3D - awesome! Be aware that if you use the glasses I bought - http”. Expert website Whathifi.com said in their review of this projector “With Full HD and 3D credentials”.

Quite Quiet Noise Level

The Infocus IN8606HD has a fairly quiet noise level (only 33 decibels) compared to most of the other projectors of this age and spec. 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that were released around the same time as the IN8606HD have noise levels of between 28dB and 49dB.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the alternative 33dB noise level data projectors currently available including the Acer K335 ($512.99), or the Benq MH680 ($1,082.62) which has better reviews; or the Acer K132 which is cheaper.

Unacceptable Noise Level

One Infocus IN8606HD owner who reviewed this projector reckoned that it was not quiet. Tony Cutlan wrote in his review of the Infocus IN8606HD two years ago “Once fired up it makes barely a whisper (use economy mode” but he gave this projector a rating of 5 stars.

Inferior Remote Control

A few Infocus IN8606HD owners who bought it reckoned that it did not have a good remote control. Whathifi.com mentioned in their review “Flimsy remote” yet they still gave this projector a score of 4 stars. Whathifi.com also mentioned “If you lose the credit-card size remote, you can't change any settings, including volume”.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

Like most of the other data projectors that have been around for more than two years, the IN8606HD does not support WiFi connectivity.

There are a number of alternative projectors which also support WiFi connectivity which you might also want to consider including the Epson EB-X18 which also has a higher rating.

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that have been on the market for more than two years have projector brightness of between 300 ANSI lumens and 20,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,400 ANSI lumens. The IN8606HD has one of the dimmer projector brightness (only 2,500 ANSI lumens) amongst similar spec projectors of this age.
