Has a Built-In Speaker

The Infocus IN116A has a built-in speaker, as do most of the other data projectors of a comparable spec and age to the IN116A.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other projectors with a built-in speaker and we think the Infocus IN124 ($375.99), the Vivitek D555 ($444.99), or the Viewsonic PJD5132 ($349.99) is also worth considering.

1920 X 1200 (WUXGA) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the Infocus IN116A is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's 20% more resolution than a 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) data projector, which is the most common resolution supported by data projectors of this type and age.

A 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) graphics resolution is in fact the best supported resolution amongst all 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for a comparable time to the IN116A.

Most similar spec projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the IN116A do not support WiFi connectivity. The Infocus IN116A is no exception to this as it too does not support WiFi connectivity.

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

Across all the 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the IN116A the projector brightness range from 700 ANSI lumens to 11,000 ANSI lumens. At only 3,000 ANSI lumens, the Infocus IN116A has a fairly dim projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors that are a similar age to the IN116A.

We compared all the other 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors to this projector and we think cheaper multimedia projectors such as the Viewsonic PJD5483S is also worth considering.
