1920 X 1200 (WUXGA) Graphics Resolution

The Infocus IN114A supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's 20% more resolution than a 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) projector, which is the most frequently found resolution supported by 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for more than two years.

A 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) graphics resolution is actually the best supported resolution amongst all 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a comparable age to the IN114A.

A 640 x 480 (VGA) graphics resolution is the worst supported resolution amongst similar types of projector.

Three VGA (D-Sub) Ports

The Infocus IN114A has more VGA (D-Sub) ports than most of the 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the IN114A. Most of the 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for around the same time as the IN114A only have between one and two VGA (D-Sub) ports, however this data projector has three VGA (D-Sub) ports.

The Infocus IN114A does not support Full HD projection. Most of the other 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been around for more than two years also do not support Full HD projection.

We compared all the other projectors which also support Full HD projection to this projector and we think the PowerLite Home Cinema 2030 ($1,178.54), or the EH-TW5200 both from Epson or the Viewsonic PJD7820HD ($764.37) which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

The dimmest projector brightness of projectors of a comparable age and spec to the IN114A is 700 ANSI lumens, the brightest is 11,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 4,200 ANSI lumens. With a projector brightness of only 3,000 ANSI lumens, the Infocus IN114A has one of the dimmer projector brightness amongst 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors of this age.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the other 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors currently available including because of it's better review score, the PJD6383S, or the PJD6683WS both from Viewsonic.

Projectors with a brighter projector brightness that might also be worth looking at include the Optoma W316 ($499.00) (3,600 ANSI lumens) which is also higher rated.
