There are a number of alternative multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker which you might want to also look at including a better rated multimedia projector such as the Benq MW811, the Hitachi CP-X250, or the Gigabyte BRIX Projector.

Supports Five Video Modes

The Hitachi CP-S240 has a greater number of supported video mode than most similar spec projectors that have been around for a comparable time to it. This projector supports a 720p video mode, which is the most frequently supported video mode supported by similar spec projectors that have been available for a comparable time to the CP-S240. The video modes "1080i", "480i", "480p" and "576i" are also supported by this Hitachi projector.

The CP-S240 has a maximum resolution of SVGA (800x600). That's 53% less resolution than a WXGA (1280x800) multimedia projector, which is the most frequently found resolution. The best resolution of all comparable spec projectors that have been available for a similar time to the CP-S240 is DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) and the worst is nHD (640x360).

Alternative projectors that have a resolution of SVGA (800x600) that you might want to also look at include a higher rated product such as the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 500 ($139.95), or the Acer X1173.

It is worth also looking at other 2000 ANSI lumens brightness projectors including the Hitachi CP-X250 which have a better Kagoo Rating™.
