Good Sound Quality

Some Epson U32+ owners who bought the Epson U32+ concluded that it had good sound quality. This year Anna Malahova wrote “Built-in speakers are the worst I have encountered in a while” but even so she gave the product a score of 60 out of 100. G S Breen said on Amazon this month “That seems to be the definitive sound wise for external sound connection, after speaking to 2 tech folk at Epson” in their review. Kocha rated it 5 stars and mentioned also this month “Movies on this, effectively testing the integrated speakers” in their review.

Good High Def TV

Nine customers concluded that it was good at displaying high definition TV. Ainz Ooal Gown said on Amazon in October this year “Supports full HD 1080p resolution natively” and gave it a score of 5 stars. Harriet mentioned this month “HD programmes are excellent” in her Epson U32+ review and scored it 5 stars. Sandford rated this projector as very good and said on Amazon “Offering full HD coverage at 1900 x 1200 with a 16”.

Good Picture Quality

Some Epson U32+ owners concluded that the Epson U32+ had good picture quality. In October Frances R. mentioned “Even this noggin knows a superior picture quality”. Lee said in his review of the Epson U32+ on Amazon “Picture size and picture quality is really really good” and scored it 5 stars. This year Amazon Customer mentioned in their review of the Epson U32+ on Amazon “The only thing that this unit could benefit from is a better contrast ratio, which can be slightly irritating sometimes on ECO when in particularly badly lit or dark scenes”. Colour reproduction, contrast ratio and definition are unbelievable” in their review of the Epson U32+ and gave this projector a rating of 5 stars.

Several Epson U32+ owners who purchased the product agreed that it was well made. In October this year G S Breen mentioned “There is no way of using anything beyond the 1 watt speaker built in”. J. Spargo wrote on Amazon this month “Well made and intuitively easy to use” in their Epson U32+ review and gave it a score of 4 stars. Sandford gave this projector a rating of 5 stars and wrote on Amazon “A well built projector from a company well versed in the technology - ideal for business use” in their Epson U32+ review.

Acceptable Noise Level

A few Epson U32+ owners who purchased this projector said that it was quiet. In October Andrew Mayo wrote on Amazon “Is inaudible if you have the volume set to any normal listening level” in his review of the Epson U32+. A few weeks ago Old Geezer wrote “The only niggle I have had is that the loudspeaker is fairly quiet” in their Epson U32+ review.

Three Epson U32+ owners who reviewed this projector thought it was noisy. Amazon Customer wrote in their review of this projector a few weeks ago “In full mode the fan noise is significantly increased” . In October Kocha mentioned on Amazon “They are loud enough to be heard in a larger room”. Good Remote Control

Some Epson U32+ owners who purchased this projector said that it had a good remote control. This month Andrew Mayo rated the product 5 stars and he said on Amazon “The supplied remote is a decent size unit”. Pablo said on Amazon “Most of the controls are duplicated on the remote”. Pablo also wrote “The only niggle I’ve had so far is the remote which is a bit bulky”.

Good Connectivity

Several Epson U32+ owners wrote in their reviews that it was good in terms of HDMI connections. A few weeks ago Ainz Ooal Gown wrote on Amazon “It has dual hdmi port and one single usb a port.( also incudes vga port” in their Epson U32+ review. Andrew Mayo said on Amazon “The unit worked perfectly with both an HDMI and composite input”. Dan Blaze said this month “HDMI and composite work perfectly” and gave the product a rating of 5 stars.

Two Epson U32+ owners mentioned that it was compact. In October Anna Malahova wrote “It is very compact and light, has 1920x1200 resolution, which is the same as professional 24" monitors” in her review of this projector however she scored it 60 out of 100. Sandford wrote in their review of the Epson U32+ “This is a very compact business-oriented or home projector” and scored it very highly.

One person who reviewed the product concluded that it was lightweight. In October this year Old Geezer said in their review of this projector “Comes in a lightweight case, which I do not expect to fully protect it in the event of an accident.”.

Good for Ceiling Mounting

Nice Design

One person who bought it considered that it was retro. Supports WiFi Connectivity

The Epson U32+ supports WiFi connectivity, which is unusual. Most of the other data projectors that are a comparable age to the U32+ do not support WiFi connectivity.

There are a number of alternative projectors which also support WiFi connectivity that you might also want to consider including the Epson EB-W04, or the Optoma EH504.

The Epson U32+ supports Full HD projection. Most of the other new 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors also support Full HD projection.

There are a number of other projectors which support Full HD projection currently available which you might also want to consider including the Benq HT2050 ($632.99) which has better reviews.

Has a Built-In Speaker

Like most of the other multimedia projectors that are a comparable age to the U32+, the Epson U32+ has a built-in speaker.

There are a number of alternative projectors with a built-in speaker currently available which you might also want to look at including the Epson Home Cinema 1040 ($649.00), or the Benq HT2050 ($632.99) which has better reviews.

WUXGA (1920x1200) Native Projector Resolution

The highest resolution of the Epson U32+ is WUXGA (1920x1200). That's 11% more resolution than the most frequently found native projector resolution of 1080p (1920x1080).

A WUXGA (1920x1200) native projector resolution is actually the best resolution amongst all latest 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors.

An XGA (1024x768) native projector resolution is the worst resolution across similar types of data projector.

Poor 3D Picture Quality

One Epson U32+ reviewer who purchased it concluded that it did not have a good 3D picture quality. This year Trojanarmy wrote in their review “We are not in to 3D at all so bought this unit to get Full HD with more brightness.”.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

The Epson U32+ does not support 3D image projection. Most of the other recently released 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors also do not support 3D image projection.

Fairly Loud Noise Level

Across all the 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been around for around the same time as the U32+ the noise levels range from 29dB to 39dB. The Epson U32+ has a quite loud noise level (37 decibels) compared to most of the other newly released projectors.

Other projectors with a louder noise level that you might want to look at include the EB-W04 (37dB), the EX3240 ($339.00) (37dB), or the S31+ (37dB) all from Epson.

Average Projector Brightness

With a projector brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens, the Epson U32+ has a pretty average projector brightness compared to most of the other similar spec data projectors that have been around for a comparable time to the U32+.

If you would prefer a brighter projector brightness then you might also want to look at the Vivitek DX813 (3,500 ANSI lumens), or the Infocus IN2128HDX ($984.25) (4,000 ANSI lumens).
