We also checked the reviews for all data projectors (not just 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors) and found that Epson also has good reviews across its entire range.

We compared all the other data projectors which also support WiFi connectivity to this data projector and we think the PowerLite 1222 ($695.00), or the 1985WU ($1,888.56) both from Epson or the Benq W1500 which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

Other 3,300 ANSI lumens brightness projectors currently available which you might want to consider include the Epson BrightLink 595WI+ ($1,808.99) which has better reviews.

If this 10000:1 contrast ratio projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might want to consider the NEC M352 ($2,349.00) (3,500 ANSI lumens and higher rated).

Average Noise Level

The Epson PowerLite 585W has a fairly average noise level (35 decibels) compared to most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that are a comparable age to the PowerLite 585W.

We compared this projector to all the other 35dB noise level projectors and we think because of it's better review score, the Epson PowerLite 580 ($1,225.24), and the Panasonic PT-RZ370 is also worth considering.

Projectors with a louder noise level that might be worth considering include the Acer P5307 (35dB).
