Good Product Quality

Has a Built-In Speaker

Like most of the other multimedia projectors that are a comparable age to the EB-98, the Epson EB-98 has a built-in speaker.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative data projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the Epson EB-W28 which is cheaper; or the Acer K335 ($512.99) which has better reviews.

There are a number of other projectors which also have a built-in speaker that you might want to consider including the Epson EB-W22.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The Epson EB-98 does not support Full HD projection. Most of the other projectors of a comparable spec and age to the EB-98 also do not support Full HD projection.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a Full HD projection and we think the Acer K335 ($512.99) or the K132, or the P1510 both from Acer are also worth considering.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The Epson EB-98 does not support WiFi connectivity. Most of the other multimedia projectors of a similar age and type to the EB-98 also do not support WiFi connectivity.

We compared all the other data projectors which also support WiFi connectivity to this projector and we think the EB-X18, or the EB-X03 both from Epson is also worth considering.

Fairly Loud Noise Level

With a noise level of 37 decibels, the Epson EB-98 has one of the louder noise levels amongst data projectors of this age. Across all the comparable spec projectors that have been available for a similar time to the EB-98 the noise levels range from 28dB to 49dB, and the average noise level is 36dB.

If you are not concerned about having a louder noise level then you might want to consider the Acer K132 (33dB and cheaper); or the Benq W1070 ($599.00) (31dB and higher rated), or the Acer K335 ($512.99) (33dB and higher rated).
