We calculated the average reviews for all Epson projectors and also specifically for Epson 16000:1 contrast ratio projectors and found that in both cases Epson had good reviews.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The EB-525W has a built-in speaker. Most of the other 16000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the EB-525W also have a built-in speaker.

We think you might also be interested in some of the other projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including because of it's better review score, the EB-530, or the EB-520 both from Epson or the Acer H7550BD.

Quite Quiet Noise Level in Economy Mode

The quietest noise level in economy mode of multimedia projectors that are a comparable age to the EB-525W is 28dB and the loudest is 33dB. With a noise level in economy mode of only 29 decibels, the EB-525W has one of the quieter noise levels in economy mode amongst 16000:1 contrast ratio projectors of this age.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other projectors of a comparable spec and age to the EB-525W, the Epson EB-525W does not support 3D image projection.

There are a number of alternative projectors which also support 3D image projection which you might also want to consider including the H7550BD, or the H7550ST ($766.99) both from Acer which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The EB-525W does not support Full HD projection, although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other projectors that have been around for a comparable time to the EB-525W also do not support Full HD projection.

Alternative data projectors which also support Full HD projection that you might also want to look at include the H7550BD, or the H7550ST ($766.99) both from Acer which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The EB-525W does not support WiFi connectivity. Most of the other 16000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released more than a year ago also do not support WiFi connectivity.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a WiFi connectivity and we think the EB-530, the EB-520, or the EB-535W all from Epson which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

Data projectors that have been available for a comparable time to the EB-525W have lamp power of between 200W and 220W. The EB-525W has one of the smaller lamp power (only 200 Watts) amongst projectors of this age.
