2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors manufactured by Epson have good ratings on average compared to other brands. We also checked the reviews for all multimedia projectors (not just 2000:1 contrast ratio data projectors) and found that Epson also has good ratings across its entire range.

Good Connectivity

One person who reviewed it thought it was good in terms of HDMI connections. Brisbanetimes.com.au mentioned “We ran a DVD from a laptop using the HDMI connection for best digital transfer” in their Epson EB-1771 review.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The Epson EB-1771 has a built-in speaker. Most of the other data projectors of a comparable age and spec to the EB-1771 also have a built-in speaker.

Other multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker currently available that you might also want to consider include the Hitachi CP-CX250 which is cheaper.

We compared all the other data projectors which also have a built-in speaker to this projector and we think the Hitachi CP-DH300, or the Vivitek D5110W-WNL is also worth considering.

The EB-1771 has a maximum resolution of WXGA (1280x800). That's 30% more resolution than the most common native projector resolution of XGA (1024x768). Across all comparable spec data projectors that were released around the same time as the EB-1771 the resolution ranges from XGA (1024x768) to WUXGA (1920x1200).

Supports Six Video Colour Modes

The number of video colour modes supported by the Epson EB-1771 is more than most projectors that have been around for around the same time as it. The most commonly supported video colour mode is Cinema, but this video colour mode is not supported by this multimedia projector.
