Epson Has Good Multimedia Projector Reviews

Epson is one of the better rated projector brands according to average reviews from experts and owners, and Epson also has good reviews for its 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors.

Good Product Quality

A few people said in their reviews that it was good quality. Pcmag.com mentioned on expert website PC Mag two years ago “The Epson PowerLite 965 XGA 3LCD Projector delivers a bright image, high quality for data images” in their review of the Epson 965H. Pc Mag wrote on PC Mag “Excellent quality for data images” in their review of this projector. Pc Mag also mentioned “Better video quality than most XGA projectors”.

Has a Built-In Speaker

Like most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that came out around the same time as the 965H, the Epson 965H has a built-in speaker.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the other projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the Acer H6517ST ($553.99) which has better reviews; or the Acer P1500 ($543.99) which is cheaper.

We compared this projector to all the other multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker and we think the Asus B1MR ($516.99) is also worth considering.

1400 X 1050 (SXGA+) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the Epson 965H is 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+). That's over four times the resolution of the most common graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) (which is also supported by this projector). This Epson data projector also support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA) and 1440 x 900 (WXGA+) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). The best resolution of all multimedia projectors of a comparable age and spec to the 965H is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and the worst is 640 x 480 (VGA).

Fairly Loud Noise Level

The Epson 965H has one of the louder noise levels (37 decibels) amongst multimedia projectors of this age. The noise levels of projectors of this age and type range from 27dB to 47dB, and the average noise level is 34dB.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other 37dB noise level multimedia projectors and we think cheaper projectors such as the Epson PowerLite X27 ($419.99) is also worth considering.

If you are not concerned about having a louder noise level then you might also want to look at the Acer K137 ($524.89) (31dB) which also has a higher rating.
