Like most of the other multimedia projectors of a comparable age and type to the 4220, the DELL 4220 has a built-in speaker.

Alternative multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker currently available which you might also want to consider include the Epson EB-1751 which is cheaper; or the Panasonic PT-EW540 which has better reviews.

There are a number of alternative projectors which also have a built-in speaker that you might also want to look at including the Hitachi CP-EW300.
