The highest resolution supported by the LV-8227A is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). That's 20% more resolution than the most frequently found graphics resolution of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) (which is also supported by this Canon projector). In addition, this projector support graphics resolutions of 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+) and 640 x 480 (VGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA).

This projector's resolution (1920 x 1200 (WUXGA)) is actually the best supported resolution amongst all comparable spec projectors that were released around the same time as the LV-8227A.

A 640 x 480 (VGA) graphics resolution is the worst supported resolution amongst similar types of projector.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

Most similar spec multimedia projectors that were launched around the same time as the LV-8227A do not support 3D image projection. The LV-8227A is no exception to this as it too does not support 3D image projection.

Alternative projectors which also support 3D image projection that you might want to look at include the Infocus IN3124, the Acer P1340, or the NEC NP-M311W which also has a higher rating.

Across all the projectors that were launched around the same time as the LV-8227A the projector brightness range from 100 ANSI lumens to 8,000 ANSI lumens. With a projector brightness of only 2,500 ANSI lumens, the Canon LV-8227A has a quite dim projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors of a similar type and age to the LV-8227A.

If this data projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might also want to look at the VS210 (2,600 ANSI lumens and higher rated), the 475Wi ($2,102.34) (2,600 ANSI lumens and higher rated), or the BrightLink 475WI (2,600 ANSI lumens and higher rated) all from Epson.
