7 Reasons For

Benq Projectors Have Good Reviews

We checked the reviews from owners and experts of hundreds of multimedia projectors to determine an average rating for each projector brand. On average Benq data projectors have good ratings from users and experts.

Has a Built-In Speaker

Like most of the other one year old projectors, the MX612ST has a built-in speaker.

We compared all the other multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker to this data projector and we think a better rated projector such as the S302, and the W301 both from Optoma or the Vivitek H1086-3D are also worth considering.

1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Graphics Resolution

The highest resolution supported by the MX612ST is 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). That's over two times the resolution of a 1024 x 768 (XGA) projector, which is the most frequently found resolution supported by 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that are older than a year. In addition, this data projector supports a graphics resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA). 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been around for a similar time to the MX612ST graphics resolutions range from 640 x 480 (VGA) (worst) to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) (best).

Only SVGA (800x600) Native Projector Resolution

The highest resolution of the MX612ST is SVGA (800x600). That's 53% less resolution than the most common native projector resolution of WXGA (1280x800).

A SVGA (800x600) native projector resolution is actually the worst resolution amongst all 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that are more than a year old.

Amongst comparable types of data projector the best resolution is WUXGA (1920x1200).

Alternative multimedia projectors that have a resolution of SVGA (800x600) which you might want to consider include a higher rated product such as the Vivitek D552, the Optoma S316, or the Infocus IN122A ($339.99).

If you are looking for a multimedia projector with a higher resolution then you might want to consider the X307 (XGA (1024x768 and higher rated) and higher rated), or the X302 (XGA (1024x768 and higher rated) and higher rated) both from Optoma or the Epson EB-4550 (XGA (1024x768 and higher rated) and higher rated).
