Good Size

Several Benq MX522 owners who reviewed this projector thought it was easy to carry around. Pcmag.com said in their review of this projector on PC Mag “It weighs just 5 pounds 2 ounces, making it easy to carry if you need to; it's bright enough, with a 3,000-lumen rating”.

Supports 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been on the market for a comparable time to the MX522, the Benq MX522 supports 3D image projection.

There are a number of other multimedia projectors which support 3D image projection currently available which you might want to consider including the MX503, or the MS619 both from Benq which has better reviews.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The Benq MX522 has a built-in speaker. Most of the other data projectors of this age and spec also have a built-in speaker.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative projectors with a built-in speaker currently available including the Benq MX503 which has better reviews.

This projector supports a graphics resolution of 1024 x 768 (XGA)|1600 x 1200 (UXGA)|640 x 480 (VGA), which is the most frequently supported graphics resolution on projectors of a comparable spec and age to it.

Quite Quiet Noise Level

The Benq MX522 has a quite quiet noise level (only 32 decibels) compared to most of the other projectors of a similar age and type to the MX522. The noise levels of comparable spec projectors that were released more than two years ago range from 26dB to 40dB.

If you would consider a data projector with a louder noise level then you might want to look at the MS517 (32dB), or the MX819ST ($596.99) (32dB) both from Benq.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

The Benq MX522 does not support Full HD projection, although keep in mind that most of the other similar spec data projectors that are a comparable age to the MX522 also do not support Full HD projection.

We compared all the other data projectors which also support Full HD projection to this projector and we think the Benq MW526 ($389.99) is also worth considering.
