Acceptable Noise Level

One Aiptek MobileCinema i55 owner who reviewed it reckoned that it was not good quality. Two years ago Aeo wrote “The only problems are that it really isn't too bright (the best quality is obtained at night-time)” in their Aiptek MobileCinema i55 review but they rated the product 4 stars.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

Like most of the other data projectors of this spec and age, the MobileCinema i55 does not support 3D image projection.

We compared this projector to all the other projectors with a 3D image projection and we think the Optoma DH1009 ($1,117.33) which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Like most of the other multimedia projectors of this age and spec, the MobileCinema i55 does not support Full HD projection.

It is worth considering alternative projectors which also support Full HD projection including the Philips PPX3410 ($259.99), or the Optoma DH1009 ($1,117.33) which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The Aiptek MobileCinema i55 does not support WiFi connectivity, although this is within the context that most of the other projectors that were launched more than two years ago also do not support WiFi connectivity.

There are a number of alternative multimedia projectors which also support WiFi connectivity which you might want to look at including the PPX3610, or the PPX3610 both from Philips which is also higher rated.

With a maximum battery life of 2 hours, the MobileCinema i55 has a fairly average maximum battery life compared to most of the other projectors that have been around for more than two years.

We compared all the other 2h maximum battery life projectors to this multimedia projector and we think the PPX2330, the PPX2495, and the PPX2340 ($327.43) all from Philips which has better reviews is also worth considering.

The MobileCinema i55 has a maximum resolution of VGA (640x480). That's 25% less resolution than the most frequently found native projector resolution of WVGA (854x480).

With a projector brightness of 50 ANSI lumens, the MobileCinema i55 has a fairly standard projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors that have been on the market for a similar time to the MobileCinema i55.

We compared all the other 50 ANSI lumens brightness projectors to this data projector and we think because of it's better review score, the Aiptek PocketCinema V60, and the AAXA Technologies P3 Pico is also worth considering.

If you are looking for a brighter projector brightness then you might want to look at the PPX3410 ($259.99) (60 ANSI lumens), or the PPX3610 (100 ANSI lumens) both from Philips or the Aiptek MobileCinema i60 (70 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.
