Easy to Use

One Aiptek MobileCinema i50D reviewer who reviewed it concluded that it performed as expected. Paula Mcintosh - Kemp wrote in her review of the Aiptek MobileCinema i50D on Amazon “Love it, does exactly what it says on the tin, have loaned this to several people, all have bought one” and gave it a score of 5 stars.

Very Dim Projector Brightness

At only 35 ANSI lumens, the MobileCinema i50D has a quite dim projector brightness compared to most of the other projectors of this age and spec. Battery powered projectors that have been around for a comparable time to the MobileCinema i50D have projector brightness of between 20 ANSI lumens and 5,500 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 410 ANSI lumens.

If you are looking for a brighter projector brightness then you might also want to consider the Philips PPX2340[plb_3175095_price] (40 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

The MobileCinema i50D does not have a built-in speaker, unlike most of the other comparable spec projectors that are a similar age to the MobileCinema i50D.

We compared this projector to all the other data projectors with a built-in speaker and we think the Benq GP2[plb_1453630_price], the AAXA Technologies P3 Pico[plb_1759922_price], or the Philips PPX3410[plb_3174869_price] which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

Does Not Support 3D Image Projection

The MobileCinema i50D does not support 3D image projection, although keep in mind that most of the other battery powered projectors that have been available for more than two years also do not support 3D image projection.

It is worth considering alternative data projectors which also support 3D image projection including the Optoma DH1009[plb_2529255_price] which is also higher rated.

Does Not Support Full HD Projection

Like most of the other data projectors of a similar age and type to the MobileCinema i50D, the MobileCinema i50D does not support Full HD projection.

It is worth considering other data projectors which also support Full HD projection including the Philips PPX3410[plb_3174869_price], or the Optoma DH1009[plb_2529255_price].

Does Not Support WiFi Connectivity

The Aiptek MobileCinema i50D does not support WiFi connectivity, although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other battery powered projectors that were launched around the same time as the MobileCinema i50D also do not support WiFi connectivity.

We compared all the other data projectors which also support WiFi connectivity to this projector and we think the PPX3610[pl_1565992_price], or the PPX3610[pl_3175148_price] both from Philips which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

With a maximum battery life of 2 hours, the Aiptek MobileCinema i50D has a fairly average maximum battery life compared to most of the other projectors of this age and type.

We compared this projector to all the other 2h maximum battery life data projectors and we think the PPX2330[pl_1486260_price], and the PPX2340[pl_3175095_price] both from Philips which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Hoped to be able to use with an Ipad 2 to show and app onto a rear projection screen. Works well for photo's and films but will not support other apps unless you does it through internet browser.
