Twenty Alienware X51 owners thought this PC was compact. Four years ago Pcmag.com mentioned “The Alienware X51 ($999.99 direct) fits everything a serious gamer needs into a compact chassis”. Three years ago expert website Computershopper.com scored the Alienware X51 70 out of 100 and said “Alienware's updated X51 delivers good performance in a compact package, thanks to a new Intel CPU” in their review. Computershopper.com also mentioned “The compact X51 is a sleek-looking, console-like gaming PC at a reasonable price”.

A number of customers reckoned that the Alienware X51 was thin. Expert website Goodgearguide.com.au mentioned “The Alienware X51 is a slim tower PC that flies under the radar compared to most gaming PCs on the market — including Alienware's own Aurora machines” in their review. Expert website Expertreviews.co.uk mentioned in their Alienware X51 review “The slim case is fairly understated as far as Alienware designs go, with just a glowing alien head an” but even so they only scored this PC 3 stars. Four years ago expert website Pcworld.com_techhive.com gave the product a score of 5 stars and said “The Alienware X51 proves that big things can come in small packages, offering excellent gaming performance in a slim chassis”.
