Several customers who bought it agreed that it was a good design. Amazon Customer mentioned in their review of this PC monitor “An incredible screen for design work and gaming” . Amazon Customer also wrote “For design work that's really useful when using Photoshop”. Kanika Nayar mentioned in October “The monitor design is awesome” in their review.

This LCD screen has an LED display type, which is typical of many medium monitors that have been available for the last year.
We compared all the other LCD screens that have an LED Display to this flatpanel monitor and we think because of it's better review score, the Asus PG348Q ($1,099.99), the iiyama XUB3490WQSU-B1, and the LG 34UM88C is also worth considering.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker
The LG 34UC98 does not have a built-in speaker, unlike most of the other new flatpanel monitors which have a built-in speaker.
We compared this LCD screen to all the other LCD screens with a built-in speaker and we think the LG 34UC88 ($949.99), the Asus PG348Q ($1,099.99), or the iiyama XUB3490WQSU-B1 which is also higher rated is also worth considering.
Not 3D Compatible
The LG 34UC98 is not 3D compatible, although keep in mind that most of the other PC displays that were released around the same time as the 34UC98 are also not 3D compatible.
If you would prefer a flatpanel monitor that is 3D compatible then you might want to consider the Acer Predator XB271HU ($628.99) which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera
The LG 34UC98 does not have a built-in camera, although keep in mind that most of the other similar spec PC screens that have been on the market for around the same time as the 34UC98 also do not have a built-in camera.
There are a number of other flatpanel monitors which also have a built-in camera which you might want to consider including the Philips 272B7QPTKEB which is also higher rated.
Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader
The LG 34UC98 does not have an integrated card reader, although it is worth noting that most of the other medium monitors that have been available for a comparable time to the 34UC98 also do not have an integrated card reader.
Quite Low Maximum Height Adjustment
Across all the similar spec LCD screens that are a comparable age to the 34UC98 the maximum height adjustments range from 4.3mm to 510mm. The LG 34UC98 has one of the lower maximum height adjustments (only 110 millimeters) amongst PC screens of this age.

Two Thunderbolt Ports
The LG 34UC98 is a two thunderbolt port PC monitor which is average compared to the other six medium monitors that came out in the last year that we have assessed the number of thunderbolt ports of.
It may also be worth considering one of the other 2 thunderbolt port flatpanel monitors currently available including the LG 34UM88 ($659.99) which is cheaper; or the LG 34UM88C which has better reviews.
Item arrived on time and was easy to unpack and set up.
