Easy to Use

Two people who bought it reckoned that it was easy to use. Bmh wrote on Amazon two years ago “Buttons under the front edge are a little tricky to use.” and gave it a score of 4 stars. Rob scored it 80 out of 100 and he mentioned on Amazon “Fortunately I never intended to use the speakers so for me it is an excellent screen” in his iiyama E2282HS review.

One iiyama E2282HS owner wrote in their reviews that the product was easy to use the menus. Gary he wrote on Amazon three years ago “Auto switch on very good feature menu buttons etc are a bit of a fiddle”.

Has a Built-In Speaker

The E2282HS has a built-in speaker, which is unusual. Most of the other PC displays of a comparable age and spec to the E2282HS do not have a built-in speaker.

Alternative LCD screens with a built-in speaker currently available that you might also want to consider include the Asus VX238 ($111.99), or the Philips 234E5 which has better reviews.

There are a number of alternative PC monitors which also have a built-in speaker which you might want to look at including the Edge10 C221k.

This flatpanel monitor has a graphics resolution of 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080), which is typical of many PC screens of this age and spec.

Has One Cable Included

The number of cables included found on the E2282HS is more than most medium monitors that were released around the same time as it. The most frequently found cable included is AC, but this cable included is not found on this iiyama PC monitor. The cables included AC,Audio (3.5mm),DVI,VGA are also found on this LCD screen.

With a width of only 509.5 millimeters, the iiyama E2282HS is quite narrow compared to most of the other medium monitors that have been on the market for around the same time as the E2282HS. Medium monitors that were launched around the same time as the E2282HS have widths of between 50mm and 6,500mm, and the average width is 580mm.

We compared all the other 509.5mm wide PC monitors to this flatpanel monitor and we think the B2280 ($225.94), and the B2280HS ($180.95) both from iiyama which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Across all the medium monitors that have been around for more than two years the response times range from 1ms to 40ms. With a response time of only 2 milliseconds, the E2282HS has one of the faster response times amongst medium monitors of this age.

Poor Product Quality

A number of iiyama E2282HS owners who reviewed the product mentioned that it was not good quality. Mr S. said in his iiyama E2282HS review “Good picture quality only let down by the sound output volume so one star off for that” although he scored the product 80 out of 100. Steveh mentioned in their review of this PC monitor on Amazon “Had very poor screen quality, VISIBLE lines / grid pattern” and gave the iiyama E2282HS a rating of 20 out of 100. Steveh also mentioned “Build quality terrible”.

Not Robust

Several iiyama E2282HS owners who reviewed it reckoned that it was not well made. Rob wrote on Amazon two years ago “Do not depend on built in speakers” in his review of this PC monitor although he scored the product 4 stars.

Not Good in Terms of Size

One iiyama E2282HS reviewer said in their reviews that it was not a good height. Bmh said in their iiyama E2282HS review “Does not have height adjustable stand as described.”.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera

Like most of the other PC displays of a similar age and spec to the E2282HS, the E2282HS does not have a built-in camera.

We think you might also be interested in alternative LCD screens which also have a built-in camera including the VK228H ($103.99), or the Vk248h ($183.99) both from Asus which is also higher rated.

Not 3D Compatible

The E2282HS is not 3D compatible, although this is within the context that most of the other PC screens of this spec and age are also not 3D compatible.

If you would prefer an LCD screen that is 3D compatible then you might also want to look at the Acer GN246HL ($159.99); or the AOC i2367 ($119.99), or the Acer XB240H.

Only the angle is adjustable, another model is the one with the adjustable height stand.
