Difficult to Use

Two people mentioned in their reviews that the HP ZR30w was not easy to use the menus. Pcmag.com said “Its lack of picture settings and limited video inputs hold it back”. It Reviews.com wrote in their HP ZR30w review “Limited picture settings” and gave the product a rating of 60 out of 100.

Inferior Technical Features

One HP ZR30w reviewer who purchased this PC monitor thought it did not have good features. Expert website Cnet.com mentioned in their HP ZR30w review “The HP ZR30w lacks too many features to be competitive with other, lower-priced 30-inchers”.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

The HP ZR30w does not have a built-in speaker. Most of the other comparable spec PC monitors that have been available for a similar time to the ZR30w also do not have a built-in speaker.

Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader

The HP ZR30w does not have an integrated card reader. Most of the other LCD screens of a similar type and age to the ZR30w also do not have an integrated card reader.

We compared this PC display to all the other PC monitors with an integrated card reader and we think the DELL U3011, or the Benq BL3201 ($636.99) which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Across all the medium monitors that are a comparable age to the ZR30w the maximum power consumptions range from 5.4W to 250W, and the average maximum power consumption is 53W. We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative PC screens that have an LCD Display currently available including the HP 2310, or the Acer B326 ($713.99) which is cheaper; or the DELL U3011 which has better reviews.

Flatpanel monitors with a better display type that might be worth considering include the Asus PQ321 (LED), or the Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display ($1,199.00) (LED) which is also higher rated.
