Good Picture Quality

One customer who reviewed it said that it had good colour saturation. In October last year Rindon Brodu mentioned “Excellent colours, contrast, clarity” in their HP EliteDisplay E231 review.

LED Display Type

This flatpanel monitor has an LED display type, which is typical of many LCD screens that have been around for a similar time to it.

There are a number of alternative LCD screens that have an LED Display currently available that you might also want to look at including the Hannspree HS271HPB[plb_2415571_price] which is cheaper; or the Asus VK228H[plb_1386924_price], or the iiyama B2483HS[plb_2194227_price] which has better reviews.

Does Not Have a Built-In Speaker

The EliteDisplay E231 does not have a built-in speaker, although this is within the context that most of the other LCD screens of a comparable spec and age to the EliteDisplay E231 also do not have a built-in speaker.

We compared this LCD screen to all the other LCD screens with a built-in speaker and we think the Philips 231B4[plb_2510115_price], the AOC G2460[plb_1556076_price], or the Benq BL2410[plb_1463501_price] which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

Not 3D Compatible

The EliteDisplay E231 is not 3D compatible. Most of the other PC monitors of a comparable age and spec to the EliteDisplay E231 are also not 3D compatible.

If you would prefer a PC screen that is 3D compatible then you might want to consider the Acer XB240H[plb_2719156_price], the Benq XL2411[plb_2130532_price], or the AOC i2367[plb_1947779_price] which also has a higher rating.
