Good Size

Several people wrote in their reviews that this PC monitor was a good height. Andy scored this PC monitor 80 out of 100 and he said on Amazon “No cellophane-sweet-wrapper crackles when adjusting the angle/tilt/height” in his Asus PB298 review. Two years ago H.s.a. gave the product a very good review score and said in their review of this PC monitor “I'm hugely against 27 inch monitors.I think the 1080p height is the perfect size”. Midnightz wrote in their Asus PB298 review this year “Even though it's 1080p I find the vertical height sufficient with docs” and gave it a very good review score.

One person who purchased the Asus PB298 wrote that it was a good depth. In November last year Ochso said on Amazon “Colour depth is perfect -” in their review. One person said in their reviews that the Asus PB298 was a good width.

One Asus PB298 reviewer who reviewed the Asus PB298 considered that it was thin. Last year Emteq wrote “Out the box, my 1st impression was it was too wide and thin, having been used to a 1920x1080 panel which was about 5cm deeper” in their review.

Easy to Use

Several Asus PB298 owners thought the product was easy to use. In November last year Amazon Customer mentioned “Only problem is it has no built in volume control, no problem for pc”. Andrew Padley said on Amazon “The display itself is excellent and had I the computer to use it properly, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend”. Emteq wrote on Amazon last year “I'm using the PB298Q with AMD FirePro V3900, just plugged in using DisplayPort, rebooted the Windows 7 PC and the display was set-up to use the full resolution automatically” and rated the product 80 out of 100.

Five Asus PB298 reviewers who purchased it concluded that it was easy to use the menus. Beendare said on Amazon “I also like the Splendid color settings for viewing different material”. J. Ritmeijer wrote on Amazon “Then there is the menu system / button positioning, what were they thinking”. Pig_thomas rated it 5 stars and said in their Asus PB298 review on Amazon two years ago “In the settings make sure DP1.2 at 60hz is on”.

A number of Asus PB298 owners reckoned that it was comfortable and easy to hold. Andy wrote in his review of the Asus PB298 last year “Pdfs is still comfortable owing to the quick response of this monitor although I doubt it is a genuine 1ms” and gave it a rating of 80 out of 100. Some people who reviewed the product concluded that it was well made. Last year Amazon Customer wrote in their Asus PB298 review “The bracket is very solid”. Craig Clark said “It makes everything look better! The stand is solid and the height adjustment is very useful”. Geoff Barnett said this month “Only gripe is the built in speakers are very quiet when taking audio over HDMI” in their review of the Asus PB298 and gave the product a score of 80 out of 100.

A few people who reviewed the product reckoned that it was strong and durable. Amirul Islam Hasan Mirza scored this PC monitor very highly and wrote on Amazon “It was tough to select a good 29 inch ips monitor” in their review. Andy said in his review of this PC monitor last year “Once the stand connected (don't overtighten by hand, use a driver for final tightening) the monitor feels sturdy enough”. Nice Design

Sixteen customers who bought it considered that it was good looking. Amazon Customer rated the product 5 stars and said in their review of this PC monitor “It is a truly beautiful bit of kit”. In November this year Andrew said on Amazon “4k is beautiful” in his review of this PC monitor and rated this PC monitor 5 stars. Andy said on Amazon “Photos are beautiful to look at even the old jpegs of my 10 year-old camera”.

A number of Asus PB298 reviewers wrote in their reviews that it was smooth. Andy said “Just a silent smooth movement with good friction in all axes” . Andy also said “A paradox because our eyes are supposed to smooth out frame rates in the dark (hence hollywood film shot at 24-25Hz”. Emteq mentioned “Fall stand/tilt is very smooth”.

The Asus PB298 has a built-in speaker, which is unusual. Most of the other flatpanel monitors of a comparable age and spec to the PB298 do not have a built-in speaker.

We compared all the other LCD screens with a built-in speaker to this PC monitor and we think the AOC G2770[plb_2305284_price], the Asus PB278Q [plb_1443239_price], and the Eizo Foris FS2434[plb_2367743_price] which has better reviews is also worth considering.
