Small monitors built by Acer have good ratings on average compared to other manufacturers. We also checked the reviews for all PC monitors (not just small monitors) and found that Acer also has good ratings across its entire range.
LED Display Type
This PC screen has an LED display type, which is typical of many similar spec PC monitors that have been on the market for a comparable time to it.
We compared all the other LCD screens that have an LED Display to this PC monitor and we think cheaper PC monitors such as the DELL P2017H ($139.95), and the HP V194 ($64.99) is also worth considering.
Has a Built-In Speaker
Unlike most of the other new small monitors which do not have a built-in speaker, the B206HQL has a built-in speaker.
We compared this PC screen to all the other PC displays with a built-in speaker and we think the AOC m2060pwq which is cheaper; or the DELL P2014H ($69.99) which has a better Rating are also worth considering.
We compared this PC monitor to all the other flatpanel monitors with a built-in speaker and we think the Philips 200S4LYMB is also worth considering.
Has One Cable Included
The number of cables included found on the B206HQL is more than most PC monitors that have been around for a comparable time to it. The most frequently found cable included is VGA, but this cable included is not found on this Acer PC monitor. The cables included AC|DVI|VGA are also found on this PC display.
1920 X 1080 (HD 1080) Graphics Resolution
The highest resolution of the Acer B206HQL is 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over nine times the resolution of a 640 x 350 LCD screen, which is the most frequently found resolution. The worst resolution of all recently released similar spec LCD screens is 480 x 272 and the best is 4096 x 2160.
5 Reasons Against
Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader
The Acer B206HQL does not have an integrated card reader, although keep in mind that most of the other small monitors that came out in the last year also do not have an integrated card reader.
We compared this LCD screen to all the other PC monitors with an integrated card reader and we think the ProDVX M104 is also worth considering.
Not 3D Compatible
The B206HQL is not 3D compatible, although it is worth noting that most of the other latest small monitors are also not 3D compatible.
Does Not Have a Built-In Camera
Like most of the other latest comparable spec LCD screens, the B206HQL does not have a built-in camera.
Very Low Maximum Height Adjustment
The maximum height adjustments of small monitors that were released in the last 12 months range from 80mm to 150mm. At only 80 millimeters, the B206HQL has a fairly low maximum height adjustment compared to most of the other comparable spec PC screens that are a similar age to the B206HQL.
+2 More reasons against
Quite Slow Response Time
When compared to other small monitors that were launched in the last 12 months, the response time of the B206HQL of 8 milliseconds is one of the slowest. New small monitors have response times of between 2ms and 14ms, and the average response time is 5.7ms.
3 Other reasons to consider the Acer B206HQL
Released Ten Months Ago
This LCD screen has been on the market for ten months.
1920 X 1080 Pixels Display Resolution
The most display resolution of the Acer B206HQL is 1920 x 1080 pixels. That's 98% more display resolution than the most common display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
It may also be worth considering one of the other PC displays that have a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels currently available including cheaper PC monitors such as the AOC m2060pwq.
The Acer B206HQL has a relatively standard width (462.28 millimeters) compared to most of the other small monitors that were launched in the last 12 months.
Flatpanel monitors with a wider width that might be worth considering include the Asus VX207TE (466.9mm), or the DELL P2017H ($139.95) (461.5mm) which is also cheaper.
