This year David Orr said “Well built, Good CPU, Good Memory 16GB, Screen is excellent, Good Graphic card 4GB DDR5, excellent sound” and rated this laptop 80 out of 100. Disposable Outcome wrote in their review of this laptop on Amazon two years ago “There is no installation disc included in the box so you will have to find other ways of installing the OS if you - like me, like a clean build” and gave it a rating of 4 stars.

Nice Design

A number of people considered that the product was good looking. Last year Amazon Customer said on Amazon “The computer is pretty good as long as you intend to keep it on a desktop” in their Lenovo Y50 review. Amazon Customer also mentioned “Eye-catching metal design, no big issues with fingerprints - Matt display”. Chris mentioned “As for gaming, its really a beast (quad i7, 16GB of RAM), GTX-860 performs beautifully and runs L4D2 in very high settings keeping FPS to 60+” in his review of the Lenovo Y50 and rated this laptop 5 stars.

Some Lenovo Y50 owners who reviewed this laptop said that it was a good design. D. C. Pim said “Nice design and so far no complaints about build quality” in their review of this laptop and scored it very highly. Laptopmedia.com mentioned “We were pleased with the overall design of the machine giving a distinctive look, premium materials while maintaining low weight (2.4 kg)”.

Several people agreed that the product was ergonomic. Patrick Ribeiro scored it 80 out of 100 and he mentioned on Amazon “Much thinner and lighter than I thought (when compared to gaming laptops, particularly the knee-crushing Alienware ones)” in his Lenovo Y50 review. Pcmag.com mentioned on expert website PC Mag “The Y50 Touch ($1,129.91 as tested) delivers gaming prowess in a slim portable design with touch capability”.

Several Lenovo Y50 owners who reviewed this laptop reckoned that it was lightweight. Claus Heinrich mentioned on Amazon “It is pretty lightweight considering it IS a gaming laptop with a 15.6" screen built in” in their review of the Lenovo Y50. Hannah mentioned on Amazon “As a lightweight gaming laptop” in her review. Poor Connectivity

Some Lenovo Y50 reviewers said in their reviews that the product was not wifi compatible. Elmafudd2 said in their Lenovo Y50 review on Amazon in November “The wifi card is pathetic and never gives a strong signal even when right next to the router”. In November last year Michael Mann said “The wi-fi aerial is rubbish” in his Lenovo Y50 review. Michael W. wrote this month “Poor Wireless - Poor Mousepad - Poor Harddrive - Everything else great”.

One Lenovo Y50 owner who reviewed it considered that it was not able to connect to the internet. Amazon Customer said “We have quite weak Internet here anyway so I have ordered a new router to test this”. One customer who reviewed the product considered that it did not have network functionality.

One Lenovo Y50 reviewer reckoned that this laptop was not good in terms of connectivity. Michael Mann said in November last year “There are many messages on forums from Lenovo Y50 owners complaining about the poor connectivity and the crashing problem.” and gave it a rating of 1 stars.
