The Lenovo Flex has an HDD storage medium which is better than the SSD storage medium found on most comparable spec portable PCs that have been available for more than a year. HDD is a traditional storage drive which stores the information on magnetic disks. HDD drives are slower than other forms of storage such as solid state drives (SSD) and flash drives.
This laptop's storage medium (HDD) is actually the worst storage medium amongst all laptops that have been on the market for a similar time to the Flex.
Amongst comparable types of laptop the best storage medium is SSD.
It may also be worth considering one of the alternative laptops that have an HDD storage media currently available including the DELL Inspiron 13, or the HP Envy Stream x360 which is cheaper; or the Lenovo Yoga which has a better Rating.
If you are looking for a notebook PC with a better storage medium then you might also want to look at the Pavilion x360 (Hybrid-HDD and cheaper), or the 13-r100dx ($850.46) (Hybrid-HDD and cheaper) both from HP.
