The HP ProBook 430 has a better storage medium than most notebook PCs of this age and spec. This portable PC has an SSD storage medium, whereas most comparable spec laptops that have been around for a similar time to it have an HDD storage medium. Solid State Drives (SSD) store data in semiconductors on a circuit board rather than using magnetic or optical media. Solid State Drives have no moving parts which makes them very fast and reliable.
This portable PC's storage medium (SSD) is in fact the best storage medium amongst all notebook PCs of a similar spec and age to the ProBook 430.
Amongst similar types of portable PC the worst storage medium is HDD.
We compared this portable PC to all the other notebook PCs that have an SSD storage media and we think the Toshiba Tecra Z40, the Lenovo L450, and the DELL Latitude 12 E5250 which is cheaper; or the Fujitsu Lifebook U745 which has better reviews are also worth considering.
