The HP EliteBook 820 has an SSD storage medium which is better than most comparable spec notebook PCs that came out more than a year ago. Most portable PCs that were released one year ago have an HDD storage medium. Solid State Drives (SSD) store data in semiconductors on a circuit board rather than using magnetic or optical media. Solid State Drives have no moving parts which makes them very fast and reliable.
This laptop's storage medium (SSD) is in fact the best storage medium across all portable PCs of this spec and age.
An HDD storage medium is the worst storage medium across similar types of laptop.
We compared this notebook PC to all the other portable PCs that have an SSD storage media and we think the LifeBook A544, and the LifeBook A544 both from Fujitsu which is cheaper is also worth considering.
If you want a notebook PC with a better storage medium then you might also want to consider the DELL Latitude 13 3340 (SSD), or the HP EliteBook 820 (SSD).
