A number of Pentax K-3 owners thought it was able to produce good images. Amazon Customer mentioned “3 of the K-5 and most current Nikons and Canons and the processor is more powerful so operations such as reviewing a stored image happen very quickly, with no perceptible lag”. Amazon Customer also wrote “Superb Camera, New to photography”. Three years ago Bengo gave the product a score of 80 out of 100 and said in their review of the Pentax K-3 “Excellent camera with very sharp images”.
A number of people who bought this digital camera thought it had a good picture resolution. Gadget Fan gave it a rating of 5 stars and wrote three years ago “Certainly quicker to use than a locked shooting mode dial (where it was on the K5”. N. Gratton mentioned on Amazon “Nikon cameras that are far more expensive - high resolution sensor (24 MP in this case), weather sealing, 100% viewfinder”. Two years ago S. Randle mentioned “Having set the camera's parameters similar to the K-500 my first model shoots have produced excellent results - the expected high resolution” in their review of the Pentax K-3.
A few Pentax K-3 reviewers who purchased the product thought it had a good ISO range. Last year N. Gratton said “The low-light (high ISO) performance is very strong - from what I've seen it's rather better than the latest Canon 7D mk II”. Imaging Resource.com wrote in their Pentax K-3 review “Excellent high ISO image quality”. Imaging Resource.com also mentioned “Exceptional detail at low ISOs”.
Some people who reviewed it agreed that it had a good image sensor. Mr. P. Taylor said in their review of the Pentax K-3 “With a DSLR you can get at the sensor to clean it yourself if you need to” and rated the product 5 stars. Two years ago Srinivasan mentioned on Amazon “It has a sensor capable of resolving detail that competes with full frame models” in their review of the Pentax K-3. Srinivasan also mentioned “The f4 aperture is not a limitation with a sensor that is this good at high-isos”.
One person said that the Pentax K-3 was good in low light. Gadget Fan wrote on Amazon “Speed is much better in low light”.
