Expert website Expertreviews.co.uk scored the product 4 stars and said in their review “Rugged, waterproof cameras are perfect for skiing”. Expert website Macworld.com.au wrote in their Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT5 review “Panasonic’s DMC-FT5GN-D is a ruggedised camera that’s made for outdoor use”.

A number of people who bought it considered that it was good at resisting water ingress.
