The Stylus Tough TG-630 supports an SDXC memory card which is better than most comparable spec cameras that were released around the same time as it. Most digital cameras that have been on the market for around the same time as it support an SDHC memory card. In addition, this digital camera supports an SD memory card. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).
An SDXC memory card is actually the best supported memory card type amongst all comparable spec cameras that have been available for a similar time to the Stylus Tough TG-630.
The worst supported memory card type amongst comparable types of camera is SD.
We compared this digital camera to all the other cameras that support SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards and we think because of it's better review score, the Stylus Tough TG-830, and the Stylus Tough TG-830 both from Olympus is also worth considering.
If the memory card type of this camera is too bad for you then you might want to look at the Kodak PlaySport ($205.02) (SD,SDHC) which also has a higher rating.
