You can get better standard definition video from a digital still camera. But, to be fair, I rather suspect that high quality video is besides the point as this is a niche product that can tackle...

Opt for a more subtle and functional spy cam...

The camera has a lowbattery indicator and recordings can be uploaded to any computer
It boasts a rather conspicuous design and the mounting attachments don't work well
