The Sony HXR-NX3-1 supports an SDXC memory card which is better than the SD memory card supported by most small sensor size camcorders that have been around for a similar time to it. This video camera also support an MS Duo and SDHC memory card. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).
This video camera's memory card type (SDXC) is actually the best supported memory card type across all small sensor size camcorders that came out around the same time as the HXR-NX3-1.
The worst supported memory card type across comparable types of video camera is MicroSD (Transflash).
