Good Quality Lens

Several people thought the Sony HDR-PJ810 had a good lens. Amazon Customer said on Amazon in November “At the highest zoom setting the floating lens gives a very steady picture”. Dr. Paul Ell wrote two years ago “These features, in brief, include a sophisticated lens with anti-camera shake mounting” in his Sony HDR-PJ810 review and gave it a rating of 5 stars. Dr. Paul Ell also said “The lens housing is incredible”.

A number of customers reckoned that the product had a good image stabiliser. C E Gosling wrote “The stabilisation system works well in my not-too-steady hands”. Last year Gary P mentioned on Amazon “Detailed pictures with the best image stabilisation I have ever used” in his Sony HDR-PJ810 review.

One customer who reviewed it thought it had a good zoom. Mr. A. Poole mentioned in their review of the Sony HDR-PJ810 “My only other minor gripe is that zoom control is clumsy compared to the flexible”.

This year Amazon Customer said “Replacing my old camcorder which cost £1,200 about 10 years ago - this one has better image stability, superior images (3 x quality) and tons of features” in their Sony HDR-PJ810 review and gave it a score of 5 stars. A few weeks ago Dmoggy said on Amazon “Fantastic quality pictures and a superb array of easily accessed” in their Sony HDR-PJ810 review and gave the product a score of 80 out of 100. Dr. Paul Ell said “The quality is excellent” and gave the Sony HDR-PJ810 an excellent review.

Good Screen / Viewfinder

Some Sony HDR-PJ810 owners who purchased it reckoned that it had a good screen. Dr. Paul Ell scored the product 5 stars and he mentioned in his review on Amazon two years ago “It will display a good three or four foot image on a nearby wall”. William Khor said on Amazon “The projector just work fine and display are equally good”.

Some people who reviewed it considered that it was well made. Two years ago Dr. Paul Ell rated it as excellent and he wrote on Amazon “Most notably of all a built in projector” in his review. Dr. Paul Ell also wrote “First, I think it's worth stressing that the camera has 32Gb of storage built in”.

Good Size

A few people thought it was compact. Dr. Paul Ell said two years ago “A top of the range HD camcorder from Sony that's remarkably compact bearing in mind the features it has” in his review of the Sony HDR-PJ810. M F M gave it a rating of 80 out of 100 and wrote this year “Compact and projector is great” in their review of this camcorder.

Acceptable Noise Level

One person who reviewed the Sony HDR-PJ810 reckoned that it was noisy. Dr. Paul Ell said in his review of the Sony HDR-PJ810 on Amazon “To be honest the sound is a bit of a letdown here - it simply cannot be set at a sufficiently loud level using the camera speaker”.
