The HC-V130 supports an SDXC memory card which is better than most small sensor size camcorders that have been around for more than two years. Most camcorders that have been around for a comparable time to it support an SD memory card. In addition, this video camera supports an SDHC memory card. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).
An SDXC memory card is in fact the best supported memory card type across all camcorders of a similar age and type to the HC-V130.
The worst supported memory card type across comparable types of camcorder is MicroSD (Transflash).
SDHC cards are DS cards with a higher capacity of up to 32GB.
