The JVC GZ-VX700 supports a better memory card type than most camcorders that were launched around the same time as it. This JVC camcorder supports an SDXC memory card, whereas most camcorders that have been around for around the same time as it support an SD memory card. This video camera also supports an SDHC memory card. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).

An SDXC memory card is actually the best supported memory card type amongst all video cameras that are a similar age to the GZ-VX700.

A MicroSDXC memory card is the worst supported memory card type across comparable types of video camera.
